Unity Founder: “1940's Lesson: Don’t Stop at Canada”


Wednesday, June 18, 2025 (Heidelberg, Germany) – The Founder and Chair of the Unity Party of America would like to thank the world’s most pre-eminent scholars of Fascism for drawing attention to the anti-Fascist cause by fleeing to Canada, but would also like to warn them and any other Americans who feel duty-bound to press on with the torch of freedom in hand that they should heed the lesson of 1940 as well as 1933, not stop at Canada, and put an ocean behind themselves.


“I’d like to share the 30,000-foot view that’s landed me in a German refugee camp, and just say that I hope anyone who sees what I see should take an overseas trip sooner rather than later, a trip that ideally involves at least 30,000 feet and an opportunity to start learning a new language,” says Unity Party Founder and Chair Bill Hammons. “You might say that I’m the most humble prophetic genius this side of the Rhine (on the other side of the Rhine, it just might be the US President, seeing as how he started outlining his dark, psychotic vision of the future with his own words and actions years ago with warnings worthy of Mein Kampf), and now I must remind my fellow Americans that it’s only the beginning.


“You now have a permanent military occupation of America’s second largest city,  US Senators wearing clothing designating them as such being thrown on the ground and handcuffed (I’m not even sure cuffing a Senator would’ve passed muster during the Roman Empire), and a purely elective and perhaps existential war with Iran that did not have to happen and might very well provide cover for an acceleration of the Fascist takeover of America. These events indeed hearken back to 1933, but don’t forget that Fascism became a tariff-free export of Nazi Germany in 1940, and a certain Otto Frank was among many who thought an ‘artificial line’ would stop a dictator. But cheer up, America and, all, Forward UP.”
