Hammons Suggests Canada Reappropriate Lee Greenwood

Monday, March 31, 2025 (Bad Kreuznach, Germany) – The Unity Party Chair (https://unitypartyamerica.us) humbly suggests, that, to match the DST delay some members of the European Parliament are apparently considering, the Dominion of Canada, to demonstrate its determination to not become an enslaved dominion, single out Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless You Canada” as its official national defense anthem, forbid Greenwood from collecting any Canadian royalties, and impose $1,000 tariffs on unapproved downloads in Canada.

“What some might not know is that Trump’s man Greenwood once also recorded a Canadian version of ‘God Bless the U.S.A.,’ and Canucks with their thinking caps should recognize the symbolism of playing such a song at military events and also preventing Greenwood from earning any more money, keeping in mind that the melody of the ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ was reappropriated from an English drinking song,” says chair Bill Hammons. “Harsh and unfair, yes, but welcome to the Brave New World around the globe, north of an ‘artificial line’ in the sand (and the snow). God bless America (and Canada) and Forward UP.”
