Unity Party Clarifies Rules Re: Expansion Beyond US

Tuesday, May 20, 2025 (Patrick Henry Village, Germany) – The Chair of the Unity Party of America, who happens to have authored the Unity Party Constitution over twenty years ago, has clarified the party’s rules, in consultation with the Party Secretary, to confirm that organizations outside the current borders of the United States have the right to representation on the United National Committee as long as they refer to themselves as Unity Parties, and thus have voting power.

“I’d like to point out that this is indeed new territory for the Unity Party and thus for the future of global democratic politics, seeing as how Uniters who happen to currently reside outside the US will now have full voting power regarding all party matters, and those same general members, within and without the US, will have a say regarding the 2028 set of Unity Party Presidential and Vice Presidential nominees,” says Bill Hammons, Chairman of the United National Committee of the Unity Party of America. “This is yet another example of setting an example of Unitism (which can be summed up as ‘The whole world is in this together, whether we like it or not, so we might as well start acting like it.’), and, to be doubly clear, this all stems from a unabashedly expansive interpretation of ‘United States’: if a state, be it a US state or another land entirely, has one Uniter in it, we consider it United. And, as our recognition of the Unity Party of British Columbia as having UNC voting power has just demonstrated, we will not rule out recognizing independence movements around the world, as long as the end goal is freedom in the United States.
