Philosophy Behind and Formatting of the Unity Party Constitution
Please note that the Unity Party Constitution, from its very beginnings, has been intended to, in many ways, follow the example of the United States Constitution.
One key point is that the format of our party’s Founding Document (as presented on this website and as it should always be presented) is the original, unamended text presented first, with any duly-ratified amendments listed at the end of the document with clear enumeration. Original text which has since been replaced by amendment text is struck through, with an appropriate link to the amendment’s replacement text (please see this page on the National Archives website for the model we follow).
