Unity Party Candidates For Office
Welcome, old friends and future Uniters! If you happen to track down those candidates who claim to be “Uniters” (many of these children playing in their tent-covered sandbox don’t have so much as a proprietary webpage, as far as we call tell), let them know we’re happy to talk (this is, after all, the “Unity Party” [the founder and chairman didn’t choose those words lightly] and we’d love to live up to that name).
Until the inevitable happens, the counter-savagery shall continue (we don’t attack; we only counterattack).
Tijani “TJ” Cole > Univ. of Colorado Board of Regents At-large
Eric Bodentab > Jefferson County, Colorado Commissioner, District 1
Former Unity Party Candidates:
*West and Abdullah were, in violation of Section I, Clause A of the Unity Party of Colorado’s own Constitution (which clearly indicates the Unity Party of Colorado as the Colorado affiliate of the Unity Party of America), nominated by the Unity Party of Colorado in April of 2024. The Colorado Secretary of State declined to intervene once her office received the West/Abdullah paperwork, and the United National Committee will take no action at this time.
In addition to the above, Dom Waters was a candidate for Colorado Congressional District 1 before withdrawing before the convention. Also, in August of 2023, 2022 Libertarian Colorado Congressional District 8 candidate Dan Ward (who received an “impressive” percentage of the 2022 vote, per the 9News coverage linked to in the following links), left the Libertarian Party to join the Unity Party, announcing his intention to run as the Unity Party candidate for the same district in 2024. Unfortunately, he’s no longer a candidate, and the national party would love to speak to him (perhaps the Unity Party of Colorado should’ve done more to live up to the “Unity Party” name?).
For a good example of what a Unity Party candidate can be, please read the below speech by Bob Kuhn, a 2024 Unity Party candidate for the Presidential nomination that eventually went to Paul Fiorino and then Bill Hammons. To be clear, the below views are not those of the Unity Party of America, but the Unity Party leadership certainly considers them constructive. The text has been posted with Bob’s permisson.
Ladies and gentlemen of the Unity Party, I stand before you today as a candidate who embodies the values and principles of the Unity Party of America. With a background spanning decades in federal service, I have navigated the complexities of critical incidents with political implications, engaging with leaders at all levels to address pressing issues. In Washington DC, I championed environmentally safe initiatives to support our nation's firefighting efforts, securing crucial funding and collaborating with key stakeholders to drive meaningful change. My commitment to service extends beyond the field, as I have worked closely with government officials to advocate for pragmatic solutions that benefit all Americans. I am dedicated to strengthening our nation's economy, managing long-term debt, and addressing budget deficits to ensure a prosperous future for generations to come. In addition, I believe in shaping a US military with clear capabilities to secure and maintain world peace, while upholding our commitments to NATO and international diplomacy. As we face global challenges, it is essential to address climate change by introducing zero-emission programs in every state. By supporting sustainable practices and prioritizing environmental stewardship, we can create a healthier and more resilient future for our planet and its inhabitants. Furthermore, we must work to mitigate threats on the global stage, including conflicts in regions like Europe and the Middle East. Diplomacy and strategic alliances are key to resolving these tensions and promoting peace and stability worldwide. At home, we must protect our interests and industries, including supporting technology manufacturers and enhancing our infrastructure security against potential threats. Education and social welfare programs must be prioritized to ensure that no child in America goes without proper nourishment or education. I am a strong advocate for the Unity Party's platform, dedicated to finding common ground and fostering unity among all Americans. Together, we can overcome challenges, drive progress, and build a brighter future for our nation. In closing, I urge you to join me in embracing the values of unity, compassion, and progress. Let us stand together as a party committed to making a positive impact on the lives of all Americans. Thank you.
